Fragrance-Free Petition Presented at the National Assembly of Québec
We are pleased to share that our petition, calling for a fragrance-free policy in all healthcare facilities across Québec, was officially read at the National Assembly on May 6, 2025. A total of 776 individuals signed in support of this crucial call for safer and more inclusive healthcare environments.

This petition urges the Government of Québec to recognize the growing health risks associated with fragranced products, which are often complex chemical mixtures containing volatile organic compounds (VOCS), and to act by mandating the use of fragrance-free, least-toxic products in all healthcare settings.
Fragrance exposure affects a wide segment of the population, particularly:
- Individuals with disabilities such as Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), who require scent-free spaces for accessibility;
- People with asthma, respiratory illness, migraines, dermatitis, and other sensitivities;
- Infants, young children, and older adults, who are especially vulnerable to chemical exposure.
As we await a formal response from the Government of Québec, we encourage continued action to advance this important issue:
